Kevin Nassary comes from the Meru community around Mount Meru. Supported by a scholarship from Mohammed Dewji, he completed his teacher training at the University of Dar es Salaam in 2018. He has held leadership roles in the safari business since 2018, as an operations manager and co-owner. Since 2023, he has run his own company. Today, he combines his academic background with operational leadership and personal knowledge of his home.
He is the host who welcomes your guests and the person who knows your brief. Kevin delegates to selected guides, hosts and specialists while retaining responsibility for the journey as a whole.
Encounters by invitation.
Guests curious about everyday life can discover another side of Tanzania: perhaps coffee prepared in a family setting or a local culinary evening in Arusha. Such encounters are arranged around the guests’ interests and in agreement with the hosts. They are possibilities, rather than fixed itinerary items.
Rooted in his home.
Kevin comes from the Meru community around Mount Meru. The traditions of the Wameru and neighbouring Maasai communities are part of the region’s cultural life. For Kevin, this is personal: family, hospitality and connections with people in his home community shape the way he hosts guests.
Care that reaches beyond the journey.
Kevin takes a particular interest in supporting local initiatives, including the work of The Small Things in Nkoaranga. The organisation supports children and families, helping children grow up in a safe family environment.
He wants his work to create opportunities for his family and local community too. For him, exceptional travel belongs alongside a sense of responsibility to the place he calls home.
